Fudai is a tiny coastal village in northern Iwate — remote, quiet, and breathtakingly beautiful. Yet from this small place, a signal fire of challenge and hope is rising. Through the ADDress Meetup @ Fudai, we witnessed something remarkable: a village that truly welcomes outsiders, where local “soil” meets new “wind.”
When these two forces mix, a new culture — a new standard of living — begins to take shape. This land holds rich soil, both literally and humanly. People here are genuine, grounded, and open to those who come with curiosity and care. The challenges are real — population decline, aging, education, healthcare —but that’s exactly why there’s room to create, experiment, and solve with skill, technology, and empathy.
